The Fourth Wall

1983

The monologues performed in this show explore women’s relationship to the state, women who fight back, women who deal with and understand their situation, even against incredible odds. An exciting collaboration between two performers: one an actor with a text to deliver, the other a singer who improvises her own musical responses each evening.

‘The result is the kind of evening that superlatives were invented for… The Fourth Wall will take you, with laughter and feeling, right to the edge where you can look over and perceive a truth: “You’ll never make me go mad. You’ll have to kill me as I am. Sane.” Brilliant. Buy a season ticket!’
